Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida
The Harry Chapin Food Banks solicit, collect and store quality food for distribution to needy people through a network of nearly 170 local non-profit agencies in Lee, Collier, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades counties. The Food Bank system allows agencies to provide their clients with a more balanced diet than if they had to rely solely on donations while reducing waste and assuring an equitable distribution of food resources throughout Southwest Florida. 96% of every dollar received goes to their feeding program with less than 4% to management and fundraising. For every dollar donated, $6 in food value goes back to the community.

Special Needs: Volunteers are the most important part of any non-profit but even more so at the foodbank. Throughout the year we have special events, food drives, festivals, volleyball tournaments, concerts, etc. The need for volunteers is critical to making the events a success and help feed people!
