ABOUT THE CHARITY:

The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and store quality food for distribution to needy people through a network of nearly 170 local non-profit agencies in Lee, Collier, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades counties.

The Food Bank system allows agencies to provide their clients with a more balanced diet than if they to rely solely on donations while reducing waste and assuring an equitable distribution of food resources throughout Southwest Florida.

96% of every dollar received goes to their feeding program with less than 4% to management and fundraising. For every dollar donated, $10 in food value goes back to the community.
